Corrina began her life-long interest in metalworking at the age of five in her father?s workshop. Raised on an organic farm in rural New Hampshire by artist parents, Corrina spent her formative years communing with nature and cultivating the passion that would become her art. She went on to receive her BFA in Sculpture and Metalsmithing at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and after graduating in 1995, moved to Atlanta, GA, where she created a self guided journeyman?s apprenticeship. After two years of working with others she established Phoenix Metalworks, specializing in sculpture, furniture, and architectural works.

In 2005 Corrina received her MFA in Sculpture at Georgia State University. She has taught on the college level and presented at national and international blacksmithing conferences and workshops. Her metalworking awards include, ?Best in Show? from Annette Cone Skelton of MOCA, GA, Silver Award from Icarus International, and a Silver Sculpture Award from NOMMA, among various other awards for her works. Her metalwork is on permanent display in Atlanta at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Temple Sinai, the Martin Luther King Natatorium, and in many private collections nationally. She continues to exhibit in museums, galleries, and public art venues.

Corrina?s artwork often uses the imagery of boats and ships as a metaphor for various life experiences, and as a story telling tool.

Recently, Corrina has been incorporating various other media including printmaking, paper collage, glass, and found objects with her metalwork in addition to working collaboratively. She is dedicated to bringing artists and community together to create social change.

Corrina has traveled to Europe and across the United States as a participant in numerous international Artist Residency and Study Abroad Programs. A few of the highlights include Hungary, Romania, Croatia, France, Germany, Scotland, England, Vermont, North Georgia and most recently, North Carolina.
